Supreme Sausage Champions A sausage producer from Ipswich has been voted Supreme Sausage Champion at this year’s inaugural Southern and Eastern Meat Products Awards with his Traditional Pork Sausage. Andrew Gleed from Procter’s Speciality Sausages picked up the Supreme Sausage Champion trophy and awards were presented to category winners in a ceremony held on February 25 at the County Hotel in Ipswich. The competition, sponsored by the British Pig Executive (BPEX), saw more than 185 products entered by 45 butchers across the southern and eastern counties of England in six different categories: Pork Sausages, Speciality Sausages, Speciality Pies, Bacon, Gammon and Ready Meals.
